Cx. Moutan Mu Dan Pi 9-12g Clears Heat, cools and harmonizes the Blood, invigorates the Blood, dispels Blood Stasis and clears Liver Fire.
Fr. Gardeniae Zhi Zi 9-12g Clears Heat, reduces Fire and eliminates irritability.
With Mu Dan Pi, for Irregular menstruation, headache, red eyes and thirst due to Liver Qi Heat from Stagnation.
Rx. Paeoniae Alba Bai Shao 9-12g Nourishes the Blood, softens the Liver, calms Liver Yang and Liver Wind and alleviates pain.
With Huang Lian, for epigastric distention and indigestion due to a simultaneous invasion of Hot and Cold pathogenic influences into the Stomach.
Fr. Citri Sarcodactylis Fo Shou 9-12g Spreads and regulates Liver Qi, harmonizes the Stomach, dries Dampness and strengthens the Spleen.
Fr. Akebiae Ba Yue Zha 9-12g Dredges the Liver, regulates Qi, controls pain and expels Phlegm.
Per. Citri Medica Xiang Yuan Pi 9-12g Promotes the movement of Qi, awakens the Spleen, eases the Middle, dredges and regulates Liver Qi, descends and drains to reduce Phlegm and stops pain.
With Huang Lian, for acid regurgitation.
Rz. Pinelliae Preparatum Zhi Ban Xia 9-12g Dries Dampness, transforms Phlegm, descends Rebellious Qi, stops vomiting and harmonizes the Stomach.
Rz. Coptidis Huang Lian 6-9g Clears Heat, drains Dampness and drains Stomach Fire.
With Zhi Ban Xia, for Cold and Heat in the Middle Jiao with abdominal fullness, nausea and vomiting.
Fr. Evodiae Wu Zhu Yu 2-3g Warms the Middle Jiao, disperses Cold, promotes the movement of Qi, relieves Stagnation in the Liver channel, spreads the Liver, descends rebellious Qi, stops vomiting and alleviates pain.
With Huang Lian, for vomiting, belching, epigastric pain and regurgitation of sour fluids from a Heat induced disharmony between the Liver and Stomach.
With Bai Shao and Huang Lian, for Liver/Spleen disharmony with Stomach pain, acid regurgitation, abdominal pain and dysenteric diarrhea.
